Fluent Forms to Notion without Zapier

Fluent Forms Pro ships a first-party Notion integration feed. Free-plan sites and teams that want a public link outside WordPress still reach for webhooks, Make/Pabbly, or Zapier. If Notion is the only system of record and you do not need Fluent Forms–specific features, a direct Notion form can skip Fluent Forms entirely. Here are four routes. No fake metrics or testimonials.

Your four options

RouteHow it worksCostCatch
Fluent Forms Pro → native Notion feedEnable the Notion module under Integrations, authorize with a Notion access code, then add a Notion Integration feed on the form. Pick the target database and map Fluent Forms fields to Notion properties (conditional logic optional).Fluent Forms Pro required for Notion. No Zapier task bill for this path.Free Fluent Forms has no first-party Notion module. You stay inside WordPress for the public form UX; past entries are not bulk-imported by mapping alone.
Fluent Forms webhook / Make / Pabbly → NotionUse Fluent Forms’ webhook/integration action (or a free-tier form) to POST submissions to Make/Pabbly/viaSocket, then Notion “Create database item”. Map fields in the automation builder.Automation-plan task quota. Often cheaper than Zapier at low volume; free Fluent Forms can work if webhooks are available on your plan.Two systems to maintain. Prefer this when the same entry also fans out to Slack, CRM, or email sequences.
Fluent Forms → Zapier → NotionUse Zapier’s Fluent Forms trigger (or a webhook catch) and Notion “Create Database Item”. Map fields in Zapier.Zapier task quota on a paid plan once free tasks are gone. Fluent Forms Pro may still be needed for some triggers.Fine for multi-app workflows. Expensive if Notion is the only destination and volume grows.
Embed a form that writes to Notion directlyBuild the form in FormToNotion and paste one iframe (Custom HTML block) on your WordPress page when Notion — not FluentCRM, payments, quizzes, or multi-step Fluent UX — is the only intake destination you need.Free inbox; live Notion sync is a one-time Pro $20 or Business $49.This does not replace Fluent Forms Pro feeds, conditional logic depth, payment fields, or quiz features. It does not import past Fluent Forms entries.

Setting up the embed route

  1. In Notion, create a database with the columns you want, for example Name, Email, Message.
  2. Sign up and build the form, naming each field exactly like its Notion property.
  3. In Dashboard → Connect Notion, paste your Notion internal integration secret and database id, then share the database with the integration (••• → Add connections). Live sync to your own Notion is a Pro or Business feature.
  4. In WordPress, drop a Custom HTML block (or theme HTML widget) and paste:
    <iframe
      src="https://www.vgt.cc/f/your-slug"
      title="Contact form"
      style="width:100%;min-height:640px;border:0"
      loading="lazy"></iframe>
  5. Publish the page, submit once yourself, and check the new row in Notion.

Stay with Fluent Forms when…

  • You already pay for Fluent Forms Pro and its native Notion feed covers your mapping.
  • You need FluentCRM, payments, quizzes, or deep conditional logic on the same form.
  • Respondents must stay inside a native Fluent Forms widget already styled in the theme.

Use an embedded Notion form when…

  • You are on free Fluent Forms (no native Notion) and Notion is the only destination.
  • You want Notion rows without a monthly Zapier/Make bill for a single contact form.
  • The same form also needs a public link or iframe outside WordPress.

Honest limits

  • FormToNotion does not read or import existing Fluent Forms submissions.
  • No Fluent Forms Pro feed parity, quiz/payment field parity, or FluentCRM actions.
  • No conditional logic beyond basic field types.
  • Field labels must match Notion property names for a row to map correctly.
  • The free plan stores submissions in the FormToNotion inbox but does not sync to Notion.
