Guide · Elementor Form → Notion
Elementor Form to Notion without Zapier
Elementor Pro Forms have no first-party Notion button. WordPress teams usually bridge with Uncanny Automator, Make, Pabbly, webhooks, or keep paying Zapier to move a row. If Notion is the only system of record and you do not need Elementor-specific actions or multi-step form UX, a direct Notion form can skip Elementor Forms entirely. Here are four routes. No fake metrics or testimonials.
Your four options
| Route | How it works | Cost | Catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elementor Form → Uncanny Automator / Make / Pabbly → Notion | Trigger on a new Elementor Pro Form submission, then Notion “Create database item”. Map Elementor field IDs to Notion properties in the no-code builder. Automator often runs inside WordPress; Make/Pabbly usually need a webhook action from the form. | Elementor Pro (forms are Pro) + Automator/Make/Pabbly plan. Often cheaper at low volume than Zapier paid tiers. | Two paid stacks for field mapping. Keep this when the same entry also fans out to Slack, CRM, email sequences, or membership plugins. |
| Elementor webhook / after_submit → your endpoint → Notion API | Add a webhook form action (or a small plugin on elementor_pro/forms/new_record) that POSTs the submission JSON to your HTTPS endpoint. Your server calls Notion’s create-page API with retries and typed property payloads. Optional shared-secret header for verification. | Developer time + hosting. No monthly Zapier fee if you already run a small server. | You own Notion-Version headers, property typing, rate limits, schema drift when columns rename, and monitoring. Overkill for a simple contact form. |
| Elementor Form → Zapier → Notion | Use Zapier’s Elementor Forms trigger (or a webhook catch) and Notion “Create Database Item”. Map fields in Zapier. | Zapier task quota on a paid plan once free tasks are gone. Elementor Pro still required for native forms. | Fine for multi-app workflows. Expensive if Notion is the only destination and volume grows. |
| Embed a form that writes to Notion directly | Build the form in FormToNotion and paste one iframe (HTML widget / Custom Code) on your Elementor page when Notion — not Elementor Actions, Mailchimp, or multi-step Elementor flows — is the only intake destination you need. | Free inbox; live Notion sync is a one-time Pro $20 or Business $49. | This does not replace Elementor Pro Form Actions, built-in CRM integrations, CAPTCHA, or popup/multi-step Elementor UX. It does not import past Elementor submissions. |

Setting up the embed route
- In Notion, create a database with the columns you want, for example
Name,Email,Message. - Sign up and build the form, naming each field exactly like its Notion property.
- In Dashboard → Connect Notion, paste your Notion internal integration secret and database id, then share the database with the integration (••• → Add connections). Live sync to your own Notion is a Pro or Business feature.
- In Elementor, drop an HTML widget (or Custom Code) and paste:
<iframe src="https://www.vgt.cc/f/your-slug" title="Contact form" style="width:100%;min-height:640px;border:0" loading="lazy"></iframe> - Publish the page, submit once yourself, and check the new row in Notion.
Stay with Elementor Forms when…
- You already rely on Elementor Pro Form Actions, popups, or multi-step form UX.
- Automator/Make/Pabbly (or a light webhook) covers your Notion mapping alongside other tools.
- Respondents must stay inside a native Elementor Form widget already styled in the theme.
Use an embedded Notion form when…
- Notion is the only intake destination and you do not need Elementor-specific actions.
- You want Notion rows without a monthly Zapier/Automator bill for a single contact form.
- The same form also needs a public link or iframe outside WordPress/Elementor.
Honest limits
- FormToNotion does not read or import existing Elementor Form submissions.
- No Elementor Pro Actions parity, popup/multi-step UX parity, or payment add-ons.
- No conditional logic beyond basic field types.
- Field labels must match Notion property names for a row to map correctly.
- The free plan stores submissions in the FormToNotion inbox but does not sync to Notion.
