Squarespace form to Notion without Zapier
Squarespace Form Blocks are fine for a name, email, and message — but they do not create Notion database rows on their own. The usual fix is Zapier on a higher Squarespace plan, which adds a monthly bill whose only job is moving a row. Here are four routes, including when you should stay native. No fake metrics or testimonials.
Your four options
| Route | How it works | Cost | Catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Squarespace Form Block → email or Google Sheets | Keep the native Form Block. Connect storage to email and/or Google Sheets in the block settings so each submission lands somewhere you can open. | Included on your Squarespace plan; no Zapier bill. | Notion still does not get a database row. You copy rows by hand or add another hop later. |
| Squarespace Forms → Zapier → Notion | On a Squarespace plan that includes Zapier form integrations, generate a Forms API key, connect the Form Block to Zapier storage, then build a Zap: New Form Submission → Create Notion database item. | Squarespace Core/Plus/Advanced (or Business/Commerce) plus Zapier (free tier is limited; paid plans start around $20/mo). | Two subscriptions, one Zap per form/action, and Zaps can fail quietly when either side changes fields. |
| Embed an HTML form that posts to a Notion helper | Add a Code Block, paste a form whose action URL belongs to a helper (e.g. Notion Monkey / similar), and map fields to your Notion database. | Depends on the helper’s free tier or paid plan. | You maintain custom HTML inside Squarespace and another vendor account; styling rarely matches the Form Block. |
| Embed a form that writes to Notion directly | Build the form in FormToNotion and paste one iframe into a Squarespace Code Block on your contact page. | Free inbox; live Notion sync is a one-time Pro $20 or Business $49. | The form is hosted on vgt.cc inside an iframe, not a native Squarespace Form Block, and it does not import past entries. |

Setting up the embed route
- In Notion, create a database with the columns you want, for example
Name,Email,Message. - Sign up and build the form, naming each field exactly like its Notion property.
- In Dashboard → Connect Notion, paste your Notion internal integration secret and database id, then share the database with the integration (••• → Add connections). Live sync to your own Notion is a Pro or Business feature.
- In the Squarespace editor, add a Code block on your contact page and paste:
<iframe src="https://www.vgt.cc/f/your-slug" title="Contact form" style="width:100%;min-height:640px;border:0" loading="lazy"></iframe> - Publish the page, submit once yourself, and check the new row in Notion.
Stay with Squarespace Form Block when…
- Email or Google Sheets storage is enough and nobody works the leads in Notion.
- You already pay for Zapier and a Squarespace plan that includes Forms integrations.
- The form must match Squarespace styles exactly with no iframe.
Use an embedded Notion form when…
- You want Notion rows without a monthly Zapier bill.
- You are on a Squarespace plan that does not include Zapier form hooks.
- The same form also needs a public link or embed on Carrd / WordPress.
Honest limits
- FormToNotion does not read or import existing Squarespace Form Block submissions.
- No payments, file uploads or conditional logic.
- Field labels must match Notion property names for a row to map correctly.
- The free plan stores submissions in the FormToNotion inbox but does not sync to Notion.
See it work first
The demo form writes to our own Notion database, so you can check the round trip before paying. 14-day refund window on paid plans.
