Guide · Webflow → Notion
Webflow form to Notion without Zapier
Webflow forms do not write to Notion natively, and Webflow Logic cannot create Notion rows on its own. The real options are Webflow's form_submission webhook into your own Notion API receiver, a marketplace app such as FormRelay, Make or n8n, Zapier's Webflow trigger, or skipping the Webflow form and embedding a form that writes to Notion directly. Here are five routes. No fake metrics or testimonials.
Your five options
| Route | How it works | Cost | Catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Webflow form_submission webhook → your own Notion API receiver | Register a webhook with triggerType form_submission (Webflow API POST /v2/sites/{site_id}/webhooks, or Site settings → Integrations → Webhooks) pointing at an HTTPS endpoint such as a Cloudflare Worker. The receiver maps the flat field payload to Notion's typed properties and calls POST /v1/pages with parent.database_id. | Developer time; Worker/serverless free tiers usually cover small volumes. Notion API has no per-row fee for typical volumes. | You own signature validation (x-webflow-signature; dashboard-created webhooks do not include the headers needed to validate), retries, field-type mapping, and rate limits. Renaming a Webflow field silently breaks the map. |
| Webflow marketplace app (e.g. FormRelay) → Notion | Install a Webflow Data Client app that listens to the same form_submission webhook, connect Notion via OAuth, share the database with the connection, and map each field to a property. FormRelay is listed in Notion's connections gallery and logs every delivery with retries. | FormRelay lists $4.99 per site per month or $49.99 per site per year (7-day trial) — a recurring per-site fee. | Recurring cost per Webflow site. Another vendor in the chain. Still the least-effort path if you must keep native Webflow forms. |
| Make or n8n: Webflow trigger → Notion | Use Make's Webflow module or an n8n Webflow trigger (or a generic webhook node) for form submissions, then a Notion create-database-item step with a field map. | Make/n8n Cloud operation quotas, or self-hosted n8n server time. | Two systems to maintain. Worth it when the same submission also fans out to Slack, CRM, or email. |
| Zapier: Webflow New Form Submission → Notion | The documented no-code path: Webflow trigger for new form submissions, then Notion Create Database Item with a field map. | Zapier task billing once free tasks are gone — every submission is a task. | This is the path most people are trying to avoid. Past submissions are not bulk-imported by mapping alone. |
| Embed a form that writes to Notion directly | Build the form in FormToNotion and paste one iframe into a Webflow Embed element when Notion is the only intake destination you need. | Free inbox; live Notion sync is a one-time Pro $20 or Business $49 — no monthly per-site fee. | The form is not styled by Webflow Designer classes, and it does not appear in Webflow's own Forms submission list or Logic. It does not import past Webflow submissions. |

Setting up the embed route
- In Notion, create a database with the columns you want, for example
Name,Email,Message. - Sign up and build the form, naming each field exactly like its Notion property.
- In Dashboard → Connect Notion, paste your Notion internal integration secret and database id, then share the database with the integration (••• → Add connections). Live sync to your own Notion is a Pro or Business feature.
- In Webflow Designer, add an Embed element (custom code embeds need a paid site or workspace plan) and paste:
<iframe src="https://www.vgt.cc/f/your-slug" title="Contact form" style="width:100%;min-height:640px;border:0" loading="lazy"></iframe> - Publish the site, submit once yourself, and check the new row in Notion.
Keep the native Webflow form when…
- The form must match your Designer classes and interactions pixel for pixel.
- You rely on Webflow Logic, Webflow's submission list, or email notifications.
- Notion is one of several destinations (use a webhook app or Make/n8n).
Use an embedded Notion form when…
- Notion is the only destination and you do not want a monthly per-site or per-task bill.
- You do not want to write or host a webhook receiver.
- The same form also needs a public link outside Webflow.
Honest limits
- FormToNotion does not read or import existing Webflow form submissions.
- The iframe is not styled by Webflow Designer classes.
- No conditional logic beyond basic field types.
- Field labels must match Notion property names for a row to map correctly.
- The free plan stores submissions in the FormToNotion inbox but does not sync to Notion.
