Beehiiv form to Notion without Zapier

Beehiiv is a newsletter and audience platform first: native subscribe forms grow your list inside beehiiv, and there is no stock Notion destination for contact or sponsor inquiries. Publishers usually keep subscribe forms for growth, paste an HTML/iframe block for a CRM form, wire automation webhooks or Zapier/Make into Notion, or embed a form that already writes to Notion. No fake metrics or testimonials.

Your five options

RouteHow it worksCostCatch
Beehiiv subscribe forms (built-in)Use Subscribers → Subscribe forms for newsletter signup (email, custom fields). Embeds go on external sites via a script tag; Website Builder has a native subscribe block. New signups join your beehiiv audience and can trigger automations.Included with beehiiv (features vary by plan). No Zapier bill.This is audience growth, not a general contact, tip-line, or advertiser inquiry form. Rows live in beehiiv — not as arbitrary contact-message rows in a Notion database.
Website Builder HTML block → iframe / form backendOn a paid Website Builder plan, add an Advanced HTML block and paste an iframe or third-party form snippet. Beehiiv documents that iframes are fully supported (wrap in a single container div; no full document tags). Point at a form backend that offers Notion, or at FormToNotion.Beehiiv paid plan for Website Builder HTML blocks; form backend free trial or monthly if used.HTML blocks are paid-plan features. Preview before publish — interactive embeds may not run inside the editor. Native beehiiv subscribe embeds are for external sites only and cannot sit in Website Builder HTML blocks.
Automation webhook → DIY receiver → Notion APIIn Audience → Automations, add a Send webhook step when someone subscribes (or another trigger). POST JSON to your HTTPS endpoint (Cloudflare Worker, Vercel function). Keep the Notion internal integration secret server-side, share the database (••• → Connections), and POST https://api.notion.com/v1/pages with parent.database_id.Developer time; webhook endpoint limits apply (beehiiv Lite: limited endpoints; Pro/Enterprise: unlimited per their pricing). Serverless free tiers often cover low volume.You own spam handling, Notion property-type mapping, and retries. Webhook steps follow plan limits. Never put the Notion secret in beehiiv page HTML.
Zapier or Make (beehiiv → Notion)Zapier lists beehiiv triggers such as New Subscriptions (Launch plan or higher + API key / Publication ID). Pair with Create Notion database item. Make/n8n can use beehiiv webhooks or API the same way.Beehiiv Launch+ for Zapier app access + Zapier tasks or Make operations every event.Two subscriptions whose only job is moving a row. Best for subscriber CRM sync — not for free-form contact messages unless you embed a separate form first. Zaps fail quietly when fields rename.
Embed a form that writes to Notion directlyBuild the form in FormToNotion and paste one iframe into a beehiiv Website Builder HTML block on a contact or "work with me" page (or on any external site that hosts your newsletter). Submissions sync to your Notion database over the official API — no Zapier hop.Free inbox; live Notion sync is a one-time Pro $20 or Business $49 — no monthly form SaaS or per-task bill. Beehiiv HTML blocks still need a paid Website Builder plan.The form lives on vgt.cc inside an iframe, not as native beehiiv theme markup. It does not create beehiiv subscribers or import past newsletter signups. Test in Preview; HTML blocks require a single container wrapper.

Fastest path when Notion is the only inbox

  1. Create a FormToNotion form whose field labels match your Notion property names.
  2. Connect Notion (Internal Integration Secret + database id) on a paid plan so submissions sync live.
  3. In beehiiv Website Builder, add an HTML block on your contact page and paste (wrap in a single container div if the builder requires it):
<iframe
  src="https://www.vgt.cc/f/your-slug"
  title="Contact form"
  style="width:100%;min-height:640px;border:0"
  loading="lazy"></iframe>

Replace your-slug with the public slug from your dashboard. Pro is a one-time $20; Business is a one-time $49.

Stay with beehiiv-native paths when…

  • You only need newsletter signup and beehiiv Subscribers is enough.
  • You already pay for Zapier/Make and the subscriber→Notion pipeline is stable.
  • Compliance expects inquiries to stay inside a vendor you already audited.

Use an embedded Notion form when…

  • Notion is the CRM for tips, collabs, and ads — not the subscriber list.
  • You want Notion rows without a monthly form SaaS or per-task bill.
  • The same form also needs a public link outside beehiiv.

Honest limits

  • FormToNotion does not create beehiiv subscribers or import past audience rows.
  • The iframe is not styled by your beehiiv theme CSS.
  • No payments, file uploads, or deep conditional logic.
  • Field labels must match Notion property names for a row to map correctly.
  • The free plan stores submissions in the FormToNotion inbox but does not sync to Notion.
  • Website Builder HTML / iframe embeds require a paid beehiiv plan per their docs.
