Guide · MailerLite → Notion
MailerLite form to Notion without Zapier
MailerLite is an email marketing platform first: Forms → Embedded forms (and pop-ups) grow subscribers inside MailerLite. Teams usually keep those forms for list growth, mirror subscribers into Notion with webhooks or Zapier/Make, embed a MailerLite Share URL on a Notion page, or embed a separate form that already writes contact rows to Notion. No fake metrics or testimonials.
Your five options
| Route | How it works | Cost | Catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| MailerLite embedded signup form | In MailerLite: Forms → Embedded forms → Create form. Name it, keep the type Embedded form, then pick the subscriber group(s) new signups should join. In the editor, customize heading, fields (Add field / reorder), and button, then Next. To install: Forms → Overview on that form → copy the universal tracking snippet just before your site’s closing body tag, and paste the smaller individual form snippet where the form should appear. Alternatives: the HTML snippet (static — re-copy after edits), the form’s Share URL, or the official WordPress plugin. Popup forms use the same Forms page and a single universal snippet; they appear per Visibility settings. Promotional pop-ups (Forms → Promotions) are announcements or discounts, not subscriber signup. | Forms ship with MailerLite Free and paid plans. No Zapier bill. Confirm current plan and feature limits on mailerlite.com/pricing. | This is list growth inside MailerLite, not a free-form Notion tip-line. Submissions become MailerLite subscribers; the embed does not create arbitrary Notion database rows by itself. Site-builder Contact form blocks (Sites → Websites Blocks, or Landing pages Sections) only email your account address and are not a valid subscriber collection method. |
| Paste a MailerLite form into a Notion page | Each embedded form has a Share URL (the standalone hosted page whose background you can style in Design → Background). In Notion, type /embed and paste that URL on a public page so visitors can subscribe into MailerLite from inside Notion. | Uses your existing MailerLite + Notion accounts. No Zapier. | Direction is Notion page → MailerLite subscribers. It does not write free-form contact-message properties into a Notion database. Notion Embed wants a URL, not the raw universal tracking or individual JavaScript snippets. |
| MailerLite webhooks / API → DIY → Notion API | Integrations → MailerLite API → Webhooks → Use → Generate webhook. Give it a name, enter your HTTPS endpoint URL, pick events such as subscriber.created or subscriber.updated (and related), optionally enable event batching, then Create Webhook. Your receiver should verify the Signature header (HMAC-SHA256 of the JSON payload with the webhook secret), respond 2XX in under 3 seconds, then POSTs https://api.notion.com/v1/pages with parent.database_id. You can also POST https://connect.mailerlite.com/api/webhooks, or drop a Webhook action into an Automation. Keep MailerLite and Notion secrets server-side. Delivery retries three more times at 10, 100, and 1000 seconds — design for duplicates. | Developer time; MailerLite API token + Notion internal integration. Serverless free tiers often cover low volume. No monthly Zapier task meter. | Webhooks track MailerLite subscriber and campaign events, not every free-form contact-message field unless you also host a custom form. MailerLite has no native Notion integration. Never put secrets in page HTML. |
| Zapier or Make (MailerLite → Notion) | Zapier lists MailerLite triggers such as Subscriber Created (or Subscriber Added to Group) paired with Create Notion data source / database item. Make/n8n can watch the same subscriber events or consume MailerLite webhooks. | Zapier tasks or Make operations every event, on top of your MailerLite plan. | Two subscriptions whose only job is moving a subscriber row. Best for list CRM sync — not free-form contact messages unless you embed a separate form first. Zaps fail quietly when fields rename. |
| Embed a form that writes to Notion directly | Build the form in FormToNotion and paste one iframe into a contact or “work with me” page (Carrd, Framer, Webflow, WordPress HTML block, etc.). Submissions sync to your Notion database over the official API — no Zapier hop. Honest catch: it does not create MailerLite subscribers. | Free inbox; live Notion sync is a one-time Pro $20 or Business $49 — no monthly form SaaS or per-task bill. | The form lives on vgt.cc inside an iframe, not as native MailerLite markup. It will not grow your MailerLite list or replace subscriber webhooks. Use MailerLite embeds for list growth; use this path for CRM inquiries. |

Fastest path when Notion is the only inbox
- Create a FormToNotion form whose field labels match your Notion property names.
- Connect Notion (Internal Integration Secret + database id) on a paid plan so submissions sync live.
- On your contact or sponsor page (any host that allows an HTML/iframe block), paste:
<iframe
src="https://www.vgt.cc/f/your-slug"
title="Contact form"
style="width:100%;min-height:640px;border:0"
loading="lazy"></iframe>Replace your-slug with the public slug from your dashboard. Pro is a one-time $20; Business is a one-time $49. Keep MailerLite embeds for list growth if you still want subscribers in MailerLite.
Stay with MailerLite-native paths when…
- You only need newsletter signup and the MailerLite subscriber record is enough.
- You want subscriber.created / updated events mirrored into Notion via webhooks or Zapier.
- You already pay for Zapier/Make and the subscriber→Notion pipeline is stable.
Use an embedded Notion form when…
- Notion is the CRM for tips, collabs, and ads — not the subscriber list.
- You want Notion rows without a monthly form SaaS or per-task bill.
- The same form also needs a public link outside MailerLite.
Honest limits
- FormToNotion does not create MailerLite subscribers or import past list rows.
- MailerLite embedded signup forms do not turn a contact form into free-form Notion messages.
- The iframe is not styled by your MailerLite form theme CSS.
- No payments, file uploads, or deep conditional logic.
- Field labels must match Notion property names for a row to map correctly.
- The free plan stores submissions in the FormToNotion inbox but does not sync to Notion.
